Fall to Winter, COVID Practice Pause

Deer members,

Once again I want to express my sincere thanks to you all for your patience and support. As I race to button up my outside life these last few weeks of fall, I realize that one of the many things I neglect is the expression of adequate gratitude. I want to thank all of those that provide for, tend to and represent the heart of our dojo. The dojo relies on an all volunteer group of supporters along with member fees to maintain our practice. This is difficult to do in normal times and COVID has invited new challenges, requested more patience and more diligence from so may of you. Thank you.

This morning I found out that one of our senior members and assistant instructors tested positive for COVID. Her most recent date of practice was last night and several of the assistant instructors for kids class were present. Her next most recent date of practice was last Thursday at kids class. At this point I intend to pause practice until further notice. This student is fully vaccinated, trains with a mask, and has thus far had mild cold/like symptoms.
