Let’s line up!

RA Angotti, Chief Instructor

Regular evening classes will resume July 8th

The dojo closed to classes in mid march. It is time to resume evening practice. The current schedule for evening classes is posted on the dojo website. Adult body art classes will begin Wednesday the 8th at 5:30. I look forward to seeing you there!

The state of North Dakota has criteria for safe opening of exercise facilities. The criteria is based upon the risk assessment of state public health specialists.

The state criteria for the green “low” risk level states that the criteria for yellow “moderate” risk should still be followed.

This has been the basis for the protocol that will be used at North Wind Aikikai from the date of July 8th.

  • Members who have had a fever or been exposed to anyone with a fever should not practice for a full 14 days after the conclusion of symptoms.
  • Members exposed to anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 should follow the protocol above.
  • Members should wash their uniforms after each practice.
  • Members should wash their hands before and after each practice.
  • Cleaning solutions will be available in all restrooms. Members should clean all contact surfaces before and after use.
  • Soap and water should be used for cleaning the mat. The mat should be cleaned thoroughly after each class.
  • All contact surfaces at the desk, entry door, in the hallway and at the entrance/exit to the building should be thoroughly cleaned after class.
  • A sign up form will be posted for each weeks classes on Sunday. Indoor classes will be limited to 8 members on a first come first serve basis.
  • Visitors are welcome but will be required to wear a mask while observing. Visitors will also need to sign up for class in order to observe.

Classes may be cancelled as needed based upon the state risk assessment and the observance of increased COVID cases in our area.

No member should feel obligated to return to practice.
